First launched in 2008 in Prague, Tcheque Republic, Prague Photo is dedicated to the photographic medium. Each April since then, it showcases original artworks from about 150 photographers, with a strong focus on the young generation. Thus, in 2018, the fair introduced the special “Prague Photo Young Award”, where a jury of professionals photograhers reward an under 30 years old artist. Alongside the traditional galleries, visitors can discover pop-up presentations by the photographers themselves. Many are on hand to meet the people and discuss their work. Prague Photo is held in a historial building – the auspices – built in 1905. Finally, the layout of the show is made in collaboration with an artist that changes every edition. For all these reason, Prague Photo is a gathering show for collectors, curators and all art lovers.
