BRUNEAF
The prestigious event of BRUNEAF – Brussels Non European Art Fair – brings together galleries and specialists to promote tribal art. It has become, since its creation in 1988, one of the leading art fairs displaying non-European art. The range of artworks to buy is wide. Indeed, there are countless African, Indonesian, Asian, Pre-Columbian and Australian Aboriginal sculptures, masks, jewelry, coins and other ritual or domestic treasures. They thus have the change to change hands, from the art dealers to heterogeneous collectors. There are two BRUNEAF events in a year: a winter edition taking place in January and the June edition, the main one. Both take places in the cultural area of Sablon in Brussels. Finally, they now also showcase contemporary art with a strong focus on the current African scene, as AKAA in Paris. The fair was initially part of CULTURES with the Brussels Ancient Art Fair (BAAF) and Asian Art in Brussels (AAB) which have since been stopped.
