Art Basel Hong Kong
Art Basel is the premier show presenting modern and contemporary art at fourlarge-scale fairs: Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Basel Hong Kong and the recently launched Paris+ par Art Basel. Taking place in March, the Hong Kong fair aims to promote top level artists in Asia by bringing together the best international galleries with art market professionals, seasoned collectors and art enthousiasts from all over the world. Art Basel Hong Kong offers a place to network and hear about the exciting developments and new ideas in the Asian art market. Visitors are introduced to an in depth look at Asia’s contemporary art scene. The art fair is divided into sections, including a ‘Galleries’ sector where the blue-chip galleries exhibit their artists – established as more emerging – an ‘Insights’ sector where visitors get an insight into curated artists’ lives, and ‘Discoveries’ presenting emerging art. Film, Magazine and Encounters also have sections.
