The original paper positions fair held in Munich focussed solely on all works on paper. It was a successful show and so the decision was made to expand it. A smaller section of the new show remains dedicated to the paper positions concept, but the remainder offers now both modern and contemporary art in all media. The organisers were keen to keep the fair open and interactive with an emphasis on learning, discussing and promoting the arts. International galleries are invited to display their finest pieces. paper positions munich is held annually in October. There are in total 5 fairs run by the same group in Germany and Switzerland: paper positions berlin, paper positions hamburg, paper positions frankfurt, paper positions munich and paper positions basel.
