Superfine San Francisco

The Superfine brand is focussed on helping emerging artists connect with art buyers and collectors. These shows offer an alternative to the more stuffy art fairs of the past. Superfine Art Fair runs 7 editions all over the USA – in Miami Beach, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington and Savannah. San Francisco event is one of the newest additions. Creating an atmosphere where visitors feel free to ask questions and talk about the art on display is essential to the Superfine concept. Prices are affordable and transparent so this show is the ideal place for new art buyers to start their collection. Approximately 5,000 to 8,000 visitors are expected to attend the San Francisco fair that takes place over 4 days in February.

What is Superfine San Francisco DNA?

Superfine! San Francisco is tightly curated and packs a punch with only 57 exhibitors. Superfine! features independent artists, collectives, and galleries on an even playing field, and the fair is a breath of fresh air with pricing transparency, an upbeat atmosphere, and approachable, high-quality art by emerging to mid-career contemporary artists, designed for normal people with better taste.

What type of galleries are chosen to exhibit, and why?

The exhibiting artists, collectives, and galleries all feature emerging-to-mid-career-level art, with a contemporary tilt and high quality standard. Superfine!’s approachable model and streamlined marketing lead to 25-35% of visitors purchasing an original work of art at the show, which makes the fair a reliable and consistent option for the exhibitors.

What is the price range? Who buy?

Most of the work in the fair ranges from $500 to $2,500. Beyond this range, the price cap is $15,000 for any one work, and the price minimum is $100. The typical buyer is 25-45, has an HHI of $120,000-$1 million, and is actively buying art for their home.
