Taipei Dangdai

First launched in 2019, Taipei Dangdai has been created to get away from the top heavy fairs, more common in Asia. It truly aims to be more affordable and thus, accessible to the public. But that doesn’t mean quality is not there. It is actually the opposite. Between 80 and 100 galleries from Taiwan and the rest of Asia participate every year, showcasing cutting-edge contemporary artwork. Many mediums are exhibited to meet all tastes. Furthermore, the show is divided into 4 parts. There’s a ‘Galleries’ section, ‘Young Galleries’ area, a ‘Solos’ space and lastly a ‘Salon’ section which displays pieces by lesser-known artists. The environment is relaxed and welcoming so collectors can feel comfortable buying art. Taipei holds 2 other art fairs, Art Revolution Taipei and ART TAIPEI.
