Uptown Art Fair

Held in Minneapolis during the first weekend of August, Uptown Art Fair was first launched in 1964 to raise awareness of local artists. It has grown and evolved over the years and is now a large, outdoor event, as Art Fair on the Square or Ann Arbor Art Fair. It truly celebrates over 350 artists from all over the United States. Quality pieces of sculpture, glass, paintings, mixed-media art and ceramics are available to purchase at affordable prices. The artists are on hand to meet and talk with the public – it is an opportunity to spend time with like-minded people. This festival of art is mainly run by dedicated volunteers, and much of the proceedings are re-directed into the local community. Food vendors and beer tents ensure visitors and artists are well refreshed all weekend.
