Venice Biennale
Founded in 1895, The Venice Biennale – La Biennale di Venezia – is recognized for being one of the most prestigious artistic shows over the world. In addition to the Art Exhibition itself, 3 more shows have been created in the 1930s, dedicated to theatre, cinema and music. Another section – the International Architecture Exhibition – was launched in 1980. Finally, a last one focused on Dance has been added in 1999. The fair format is quite unusual as the event last 7 months every two years. Each edition of the ‘Biennale Arte’ is curated by one prominent art professional. Hundreds of thousands visitors – influent collectors, curators, aficionados and simply curious – attend. People come to admire and purchase exciting contemporary artworks from cutting-edge international artists.
